Previous

This beautiful round, glass house sits at the south end of Dongbaekseom Island and looks out at amazing views of the Pacific Ocean, Gwangan Bridge and the Korean coastline.   The shape of the building resembles a “Jungja” a Korean traditional pavilion but with modern style, the roofline represents Dongbaekseom Island.

The name stands for “world summit” , “nuri” meaning “world” and “maru” meaning “summit”.  APEC stands for Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation. The APEC conference of 2005 which hosted leads of 21 APEC countries held their meetings and luncheons in this lovely building.  This house is now a museum dedicated to this conference.
