So Abi and I spent part of the day together.  Abi seems to spend most of her time in a cone to prevent her from scratching herself.  You can see by her smile, how happy this makes her.  But in reality, this is sort of Abi’s usual mood.

In the evening Julianna and I went shopping for fabric and buttons.  Julianna and I found a store that sold fabric and had designers on staff, so Julianna ordered some new dresses.

I had landed in Dubai with some back pain from the hours in flight.  I asked Julianna if she knew of an acupuncturist, as I had great relief from one in Phoenix, and, of course, in Julianna’s vast network, a friend had used someone and it was close to Julianna’s home.  She called an made an appointment for me.

So the day after the fabric shopping, with Google maps in hand, I struck out on foot for the clinic.  I wasn’t exactly sure where I needed to be, or if I could read all the street signs, but I had no problems.

The acupuncture helped and when the acupuncturist suggested I might benefit from a blood letting, I booked the appointment.  Another adventure… right?

Abi

Back at home Abi played hide and seek in her new bed.

I had arranged for a photography tour of an old part of Dubai.  I quickly grew tired of what the teacher wanted us to photograph, so Julianna and I went on our own and explored the area.  We found a new button shop, with more usual buttons.

Buttons make a great souvenir for me, they are light weight and don’t take up much room And if you have ever tired to find usual buttons in the US, you know they are not easy to find.  This shop had shell buttons, so that was a great find!
