We got lucky for a third night with finding auroras. Well our experienced guides had much to do with it. We were in very good hands with Barb and Kristy.
I grew bored with shooting just the Northern Lights so as there were numerous ice shanties to photograph, I played around with those for hours. I enjoyed using painting with light to see if I could get just the right amount of light on the shanty without touching the snow with the light. If I did shine the light on the snow even for a second, the photograph was lost. It was great fun, even though most of the photographs didn’t come out.
Playing is important!
