LANDING IN DELHI
Leaving Dubai…the sign in English and Arabic…
Landing in Delhi, my most vivid memory was the long car ride from the airport to the hotel. I saw my first of many Indian tuk-tuks; we had seen numerous ones in Thailand, and I would finally get to ride on one in Delhi!
The hotel was incredibly modern and lovely. Some details caught my eye, and I had to photograph them. Number 2832 was our room number, and you can see the care put into such a minor detail. The spools of thread were part of a sculpture in the lobby; the thread had such a sheen that I thought it had to be silk. I took a copy of the drinks menu, which was quite impressive. A travel agency representative met us after dinner to give us a cell phone and explain the details of the trip.
