The Boloven Plateau

Yesterday was a day rich in photographic opportunities, these are a few that I captured with my phone. I’m excited to review those from my camera.

This man hand forged 4 to 5 pieces a day. The round cylinder he is hammering onto is a used bomb casing from the Vietnam War. Laos was heavily bombed during the war and parts of the country are still clearing unexploded bombs from that conflict

Coffee and casava root, from which noodles and tapioca are made, are major crops of the area.

Most times when you see the Laos flag, the communist flag flies beside it.
