EARLY MORNING SEOUL
Watching the world wake up in new places is a favorite of mine…getting out before sunrise offers me unique views of how people start their day in whatever place I am visiting. My friend Scott is always game to join me when we travel together. It has been a harder sell for my night owl husband, but this trip he is joining me. I think he worries about me being safe, as I will go out alone, after checking with our local guide that it is safe.
A walkway above the city streets gives wonderful views wonderful views of Seoul. Center photo…very glad I am not driving in Seoul.

Sungnyemun Gate, also known as Namdaemun Gate, was first completed in 1398 and is made of wood and stone. A fire damaged the gate, and restoration was completed in 2013.
