We ventured into London proper one day.  Julianna needed a college transcript, so I got to see the area where both Julianna and Timothy had obtained their college degrees.  After that, we went to the Crown & Anchor  Crown & Anchor ( Crown & Anchor )which lasted the entire afternoon. 

The fish and chips were amazing!

We went also in the city to see a theater production with Imelda Stanton (The Crown’s Queen Elizabeth in the final seasons) and her daughter, Bessie Carter.

Imelda is married to Jim Carter( Downton Abbey, Mr. Carson)

Getting lost on walks, has benefits.  On one I found the Crooked Billet, a local pub, way away from Wokingham’s high street.  I was anxious to go, as it looked like a place unknown to tourists.  It was a find.  

They had Guinness on tap, my favorite. and they allowed dogs in the pub.  So I made a new canine friend with way too many treats.
