Moir Camp to Lava Tower

Hike to Lava Tower altitude 15,180 feet. Projected hiking time untold, it took me 4 hours. We hiked into the alpine desert zone. We will spend two nights at Lava Tower.

Of all the sunsets I have seen, this one remains as a favorite. It was so unusual for me to be above the clouds when the sun sets, except in an airplane. This remains on of the highlights of the climb for me.
