The Katu women, one of many ethnic groups in Laos, are known for their backstrap weaving. They sit on the ground bending over the loom to weave. I purchased two pieces, the lower photo shows the weaver holding the piece she made that I purchased.

After buying a few pieces, I was invited into a Katu home and was allowed to photograph.
